my favorite romance !!

today we're gonna look at some of my fav romance !! this will cover everything from yaoi, yuri, manga, novels, and shows hehe (˶˃⤙˂˶) this is part one covering yaoi, since I have too many recs lolol

yaoi!!

first off, my all time favorite has to be the manga "I hear the sunspot" by Yuki Fumino,
which follows the story of Kohei, a college student with hearing loss, and Taichi,
who helps him learn to love himself. This was so heartfelt and beautiful AHH!!
I think there is also a live-action version, but I dunno how to access it uhuu ( • ᴖ • ｡)

next up, we have the webtoon "To the Stars and Back" by Peglo!
It's just really sweet fluff and the artstyle is so gorg - its like heartstopper but better lolol.
The dynamic between Bo Seon and Kang Dae is to die for, and the way that the two help each other heal from their trauma is so sweet !!
Also super duper funny and the friend group is so silly (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

now we have another webtoon, "Be my Villain" by mintibi (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) this was so silly!
It follows Mills, who ends up having his life saved by his parent's nemesis - Shadowmaker, who then asks him on a date !!
This is again some cute fluff, and the action is really interesting!

one last webtoon - "Adding you to my cart" by antarcticbear!
this takes place in Vietnam, and it surprisingly handles the rich x poor trope really well >⩊<
the struggles of the main two are really relatable, and the slow burn is AHH

this is great for anyone that likes more mature BL's without the illegal or weird stuff LMAO !
This is your average jock x nerd story, which I will ALWAYS eat up LOL and the artstyle is literally to die for

now onto a danmei!! Legend of Exorcism by Fei Tian Ye Xiang ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
I honestly reccomend the animation more than novel even besides the censorship - the romance in the novels is a bit ragebaity LMAO talk about how you feel please !!
this follows the story of Hongjun, who leaves his palace to join the Department of Exorcism in Chang'an, and forms a bond with the captain, Li Jinglong - very silly
(I will say that the age gap is a bit weird and kinda complicated tho..)

Up next is the manga "Cherry Magic!" by Yu Toyota!
The plot is super wacky, and follows Adachi, an office worker who gains the ability to read minds after 30 years of being celibate,
and learns that his popular coworker Kurosawa is deeply in love with him :D
The side romance between Adachi's friend, an author, and a younger post office worker turned idol is really cute as well hehe
(also I really reccomend the live action!)

Now the spin-off of Sasaki to Miyano, the aptly named "Hirano to Kagiura" by Harusono Shou!
I'm always a sucker for the roommates trope, and the yearning is absolutely crazy ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!
Honestly it's better than the original, and I think the way it handles learning to accept your feelings is really good !

One-shot manga time !! "Snow Fairy" by Tomo Serizawa (..◜ᴗ◝..)
this story follows a famous wildlife photographer who travels to Hokkaido to photograph the Snow Fairy
bird and ends up falling in love !
This was adorable and I had to buy some pastries from Hokkaido afterward hehe

One more manga with a deaf ML, "Love in the Palm of His Hand", by Rinteku !!
Again, really sweet and the way they both help the other change is adorable (๑>◡<๑)

Onto the manhwa "Full Moon Alchemist" by Dongjeon Banji!
I've never been a big fan of BL manhwa, but this was really cool!
The MC, Ennid, is a genius alchemist who due to his status, is underlooked and shunned -
until he meets Glunn, a cursed duke who turns into a boy every month.
Ennid helps the duke stop his ill-fated doom, and the two fall in love (´・ω・`)
Couldn't stop reading ahh

Another danmei, "Wait For Me After School" by Jiang Zi Bei ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡
I haven't finished reading this yet, but so far SUPER sweet and the slow burn is literally insane LMAO!
Again, your average deliquent x top student,
but it was really cute how the top student keeps writing love letters for the delinquent haha

Time for a show! This is "Love is a Poison",
which features a stoic lawyer who falls in love with a con artist!
This was super short and silly, and I really enjoyed how the two caught feelings for one another :3
always a fan of a fake-nonchalant autistic lawyer (specifically)
